Vocal

Alex is passionate about vocal music, particularly song repertoire. She has collaborated with Hampstead Garden Opera, the Royal Academy of Music Opera, the BBC Singers, Camden Youth Choir, the Rodolfus Foundation, the RSNO Chorus and the Association of British Choral Directors.

As a student at the Academy she was awarded the Major Van-Someren Godfrey prize for English Song, and highly commended both in the Eva Gerhardt Accompanist Prize and the Flora Nielsen Accompanist Prize for French Song.

In 2020, Alex became a Leeds Lieder Young Artist alongside mezzo-soprano Bernadette Johns. Together they performed a recital in April 2021 as Momentum Young Artists in the Leeds Lieder Festival.

Alex made a recording of Jonathan Dove's The Passing of the Year with the BBC Singers in 2023 which was broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
