
Biography
Alexandra Standing MA BMus (Hons) DipABRSM
Alex is a prize-winning London-based pianist whose musical journey is defined by collaboration, expression, and connection. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with distinction where she was recognised with several prestigious awards, including the Marjorie Thomas Art of Song Prize and the Arthur Hervey Award.
Specialising in collaborating with other musicians, Alex’s performances blend the worlds of classical and classical-crossover, creating emotive and memorable experiences for audiences. Her collaborations with eminent composers and ensembles like the BBC Singers have brought her to the stage at renowned venues such as Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall, and she has been featured on BBC Radio 3.
In addition to her performing career, Alex is a passionate educator and a regular presence at the Royal Academy of Music.
Alex is very proud to be an Artist and Ambassador for Coach House Pianos, where she shares her passion for the instrument and its role in bringing music to life.
