
Biography
Alexandra Standing MA BMus (Hons) DipABRSM
Alex is a prize-winning London-based pianist whose musical journey is defined by collaboration, expression, and connection. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with distinction where she was recognised with several awards, including the Marjorie Thomas Art of Song Prize and the Arthur Hervey Award.
Specialising in collaborating with other musicians, Alex’s performances blend the worlds of classical and classical-crossover, creating emotive and memorable experiences for audiences. Her collaborations with eminent composers and ensembles, including the BBC Singers, have brought her to the stage at renowned venues such as Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall, and she has been featured on BBC Radio 3.
In addition to a busy performing career, Alex is passionate about music for all. She is an educator and a regular presence at the Royal Academy of Music. She regularly works as a piano accompanist for students and is able to be versatile at the instrument, lending her services to high end brands for events.
Alex is very proud to be an Artist and Ambassador for Coach House Pianos, where she shares her obsession of the piano and its role in bringing music to life.
