BIOGRAPHY
Alexandra Standing MA (dist.) BMus (Hons) DipABRSM

Alex is an active award-winning pianist and chamber musician. She recently graduated with distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied collaborative piano with James Baillieu and Christopher Glynn.
Alex won various awards and prizes at the Royal Academy of Music, including the Marjorie Thomas Art of Song award, the Nielsen Prize for French Song and highly commended in the Gerhardt award for Lieder.
Collaborations with new composers has led to her performances broadcast on BBC Radio 3. Venues Alex has performed in range from Wigmore Hall, to Latitude Festival.
Recently Alex has been appointed Head of Keyboard at King Edward VI School in Southampton. She is the current accompanist for SCS and enjoys a varied performing and teaching career.
